Our Beautiful 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Apartment with large communal pool Sleeps 6 and is less than a 3 minute walk to a beautiful beach.
THE LOCATION
The apartment is brand new and is called The Cove. It is on a very small sea front complex with unspoiled sea views. The complex consists of only 16 apartments and over looks a large communal pool and benefits from a private terrace located on the ground floor. We are very lucky to be situated in the beautiful town of Lapta, and with less then a 3 minute walk to a beautiful unspoiled rural sandy beach, what more could you want.
DETAILS FOR THE APARTMENT
The apartment benefits from being on the ground floor, with a large patio area, ideal for sunbathing and is over looking the large communal pool. The apartment is fully air conditioned with hot and cold air con in all rooms and has fantastic sea views from all windows.
THE LOUNGE
The lounge has a TV and DVD player with a Sony Play station 2 with some games and one control. There is a 6 seat corner unit sofa/bed, that will pull out into a double bed and will allow the accommodation to sleep up to 5/6 people. There is also a large pull out dining table and chairs, which will seat up to 6 people. The apartment benefits from a telephone intercom system to open the front door. All the windows are fitted with black out blinds for a peaceful night sleep.
THE KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully equipped including washing machine, microwave, large fridge/freezer, oven and hob, toaster and all cooking utensils. It has a window that looks out on to the pool offering fantastic sea views. Large patio doors lead on to the terrace with steps leading down to the large patio and enclosed garden area.
THE MASTER BEDROOM
There are 2 bedrooms one is the master bedroom with beautiful sea views from both windows, this bedroom also benefits from a double bed, 2 bed side cabinets, a dressing table and built in wardrobes with plenty of storage space. It also has hot and cold air conditioning.
THE TWIN BEDROOM
The twin bedroom has 2 single beds and a bedside table. There are large built in wardrobes with plenty of storage space and a large mirror with a shelf. This room also over looks the pool area and has fantastic sea views.
The Bathroom
THE BATH ROOM IS A WET ROOM AND IS FULLY FITTED WITH A SHOWER AND MIRROR. TOWELS ARE SUPPLIED (BUT NOT BEACH TOWELS).
The apartment is furnished to a very high standard.
THE GARDEN
The apartment has a BBQ area + patio table and 6 chairs with a sun umbrella, and loungers.
From the rear of the apartment there is a beautiful orchard and there are unspoilt views of the five Finger Mountains from the terrace.
THE BEACH SARDUNYA BAY

A private beach is less then a 3 minute walk away. You enter the beach on a path leading from the apartment and through an olive grove. Then it opens up into a beautiful unspoiled sandy beach, with shallow waters and calm sea. There is a beach bar that sells food and beers, you can hire sun loungers and there are showers and toilets and a car park. You will find many local people on the beach enjoying BBQ's and picnic's, on weekends and in the summer; feel free to join in!!!.
OTHER APARTMENTS TO LET
IF REQUIRED Our friends own the apartment opposite ours and will rent it out (just ask). So, if needed, there are two apartments that can be rented out together; this would makes it ideal for larger party bookings of family or friends, but each of you would still have your own privacy!!
The apartment is ideally situated approximately 100 metres from the coast and is located in the beautiful district of Lapta. Local shops and the beach are all within walking distance. The coast road takes you to Kyrenia with its enchanting Venetian harbour and onto Bellapais which was made famous by Lawrence Durrell's 'The Bitter Lemons of Cyprus'. There are restaurants within walking distance whilst those further a afield will often supply a free taxi service to their customers. There are sandy beaches all along the coast road and a brand new water park within 2 minutes drive. The border with the South is approx. 30mins away whilst the wild expanse and breathtaking beaches of the Karpaz peninsula can be reached in about 2 hours. Kyrenia Castle that houses the oldest shipwreck in the world. There is also the spectacular Bellapais Abbey and the Roman ruins at Salamis. Wherever you are you always have the stunning mountain backdrop in view.
WINTER RATES
WE WILL DO A SPECIAL WINTER RATE FOR LETTINGS OF 2 WEEKS OR MORE. ALSO WINTER LONG LETS OF 4 WEEKS OR MORE WILL BE OFFERED AT A GOOD RATE PER WEEK, EXCLUDING UTILITY BILLS. SO IF YOU ARE RETIRED AND WANT A FEW WEEKS OR MONTHS IN THE WINTER SUN, JUST ASK!!
KYRENIA TOWN IS REALLY BUSY AND HAS LOTS OF BARS, SHOPS AND FANTASTIC PLACES TO EAT, WITH THE HARBOUR ON ITS DOOR STEP AND ITS ONLY A SHORT DRIVE AWAY.
The northern Cyprus Region: Climate: Northern Cyprus is blessed with the most pleasing climate in the whole of Europe. The winters are mild and rarely extend beyond February and with over 300 days of sunshine a year; the temperatures can reach into the 70s as early as March and get warmer In April and May.
Cyprus is at its most beautiful with fields of wild flowers in full bloom and the weather is not unlike that of good English summer. July and August are the hottest months and ideal for sun worshippers. Not surprisingly September and October are the most popular months as the weather is still wonderfully warm (rarely below 80F), but the evenings are cooler. To get a taste of Cyprus 30 years ago you are advised to visit the Karpaz peninsula where time stands still. There are miles of sandy beaches with not a person in sight even in the summer. Ancient towns, basilicas, ruins and tombs scatter the area waiting to be explored. Be sure to visit the old dungeons in Famagusta and the ancient ruins at Salamis.

There is a great golf course approx. 30 minutes drive away.
THIS IS THE BRAND NEW WATER PARK THAT IS ONLY A 5 MINUTE DRIVE A WAY FROM THE APARTMENT, IT HAS SOME GREAT RIDES AND IS GOOD FUN!!
AND THIS IS KYRENIA HARBOUR AND ITS ONLY A SHORT DRIVE AWAY.
THIS IS THE VIEW FROM OUR TERRACE AND THE BEACH IS JUST ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TREES, SO AS YOU CAN SEE IT'S NOT FAR TO WALK!!
From Kyrenia take the road along the coast towards Lapta .You will pass Flippers holiday village on the left , continue on past 2 white lion statues and a small supermarket.Take the 2nd track on the right after the supermarket and follow it down till you see the unfinished hotel .turn right and you will see the cove through the trees.
A great little beach bar/cafe has recently been built at the cove near Lapta. Its run by Ohkay and Silk a very friendly couple who will make you very welcome. For this first season the sun beds are free and although its in its early stage you will see how much work they have put into creating a great little beach.Google coordinates

For families with small children
You have enough to think about already, so we have a travel cot, high chair and push chair for you to use and at no extra cost to you.
We can also arrange welcome pack for those of you that might be on a late flight, you would need to pay the agent for this on your arrival.
CAR HIRE
Car hire is essential, but as you benefit from driving on the same side of the road in Cyprus as in England, it is very easy to get around.
WE CAN ARRANGE AIRPORT TRANSFERS FROM ERCAN OR LARNACA AIRPORT THE AGENT WE USE CAN COLLECT YOU AND HAVE A RENTAL CAR WAITING AT THE APARTMENT FOR YOU AND ITS ALL IN ONE COST. YOU WOULD PAY THIS TO HIM ON ARRIVAL.
THE NEW ROAD
We are having a new road put in to the apartments. so at the moment its a dirt track that is VERY easy to use to get to the apartment.
THAT IS WHY THE COST TO HIRE THE APARTMENT IS LOW AT PRESENT!
